For example, marijuana can slow reaction time, impair judgment of time and distance, and decrease coordination.

Research studies have shown negative effects of marijuana on drivers, including an increase in lane weaving, poor reaction time, and altered attention to the road..

After alcohol, marijuana is the drug most often found in the blood of drivers involved in crashes

.

Tests for detecting marijuana in drivers measure the level of delta-9- tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), marijuana’s mind-altering ingredient, in the blood.

Several studies have shown that drivers with THC in their blood were roughly twice as likely to be responsible for a deadly crash or be killed as drivers who hadn't used drugs or alcohol.

Cumulative lifetime exposure to marijuana was associated with lower scores on a test of verbal memory. Marijuana use has also been shown to worsen the course of illness in patients who already have schizophrenia.

Users have, impaired attention, judgement and other cognitive functions. They exhibit impaired learning and coordination and even potential loss of IQ, making them likely to want to imbibe even more corrosive chemicals to impair their existence as humanoids.

A few studies have shown a clear link between marijuana use in adolescence and increased risk for an aggressive form of testicular cancer

Human studies have shown that some babies born to women who used marijuana during their pregnancies respond differently to visual stimuli, tremble more, and have a high-pitched cry, which could indicate problems with neurological development.

In school, children prenatally exposed to marijuana are more likely to show gaps in problem-solving skills, memory, and the ability to remain attentive.

National Center for Biotechnology Information, (NCBI) concluded, following a study of ADHD Symptoms, Autistic Traits, and Substance Use and Misuse in Adult Australian Twins, that, “Greater ADHD symptoms and autistic traits scores were associated with elevated levels of regular smoking; cannabis use; and nicotine, alcohol, and cannabis use disorders, even after conduct disorder was adjusted for.”

Conclusion: Marijuana is a dangerous drug. The damaging effects of using may not be exhibited until much later in life.
